In today's TPOM, we will be laying the groundwork that, in part, makes up my analytical method. While this material is undoubtedly influenced by many things that I have come into contact with over my lifetime, there is no one source from which I depend for this system; it is, to a greater or lesser degree, one of my design, though it owes much to the work of others from many different disciplines most of which are outside of the field of psychology. It is my best effort to systematically take apart and understand the inner aspects of humans and human thought as it manifests in the matrix of thought.

A Note

The following installments of TPOM will be somewhat more technical in nature and a bit more demanding. That said, this is all still merely the preamble to the complex material. What follows are the initial terms, definitions, and applicable short discussions of the components of my thought system for dissecting and understanding the thought matrix. Remember, I am reeling this out in bite-size chunks to be practiced and applied over time.

The Components

Proximal analysis—this attends to the analysis of the thought and all components that are in close proximity to it, as delineated and studied.

Thought manifested as a statement - this attends the statement under analysis.

Proximal overt origin of the thought  - this attends the origin of the thought under study and does not regard the truthfulness of the thought’s origin. In many cases, the overt thought is open in that it is allowed to be seen or probed without adverse reactivity to the process or the one probing. The truthfulness of this thought is not delineated by the terms overt and covert. Those terms only apply to the revelatory or secretive nature of the thoughts. Both overt and covert thoughts have their relation to the truth based solely upon the individual's beliefs and actions adherence, e.g., X believes that lying is bad, and they actualize that belief well over time. In such a case, the belief and action are essentially uniform, and the belief is adhered to, as shown through the action. The relation to the truth has one further consideration in that when truth is discernable and when it regards universals either in accord or discord with said discernible or universal truths, the truthfulness of such thoughts, actions, and situations can, therefore, clearly be observed and properly referenced as true or untrue within the analytical system.
